Classes of Belt Conveyors
Belt conveyors is a mechanical device that consisting of a continuous moving belt that transports materials from one place to another place much more easily. When a search is made on the word conveyor, a wide variety of contents can be found. First of all, when we look at the dictionary definition with the word meaning, the definition of "conveyor" is seen as "device" which enables the carrying of loads with closed circuit working order at the place or high. The name of the belt conveyors is very strange to many people and does not mean anything to most people. However, when we say what people instead of what I was carrying conveyor or conveyors belt is an immediate systematic factory image in the mind of people and typical band of the conveyor. A conveyor belt consists primarily of two or more drums, with a continuous loop of material - the conveyor belt - that rotates about them. One or both of the drums (or pulleys) are powered by motoreducer, moving the belt and the material, the other drum are free to turn being dragged from the first. The powered drum is called "drive drum" while the unpowered pulley is called the idler (or tail drum).
Classes of Belt Conveyors
It can be divided into two main industrial classes of belt conveyors:
- Those in general material handling such as those moving boxes along inside a factory generally in indoor locations.
- Those used to transport industrial bulk material handling, such as clay, grain, coal, ores, rice, etc. in indoors or outdoor locations. Basic belt conveyor systems are basically, Chain Conveyor, Roller Conveyor, Belt Conveyor, Pod-Chain Conveyor, Slat Conveyor, Flex Conveyor, Telescopic Conveyor. The rubber belt, which use around the conveyor,and it is to save time and money to conveying goods in many factory,like steel factory,cement factory,and mines.
